Within the framework of this Seminar, organized on October 14 in Mexico City by the CDMX and the French Embassy, with the support of the FMDV, CDMX presented its projects and priorities in the environmental matters and of sustainable mobility, according to its Environmental and Climate Change Program 2018-2024; the challenges it faces; and the investment opportunities for the foreign private sector in the city.
The French companies of MEDEF International presented their experiences and solutions for urban innovation in the areas of sustainable mobility, water management and solid waste and smart cities, and expressed their interest in investing in Mexico City in areas related to the sustainable city, infrastructure and new technologies.
As a result of this meeting, experiences were exchanged and potential areas of public-private investment in the Mexican capital were identified.
The meeting was attended by the Chief of Government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, the secretaries of mobility and economic development and representatives of the Ministry of the Environment and the Water System of Mexico City.
On France's behalf, attending the Ambassador of French to Mexico, Anne Grillo, representatives of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and of the Bordeaux city, and 25 French companies MEDEF, headed by Mr. Alexandre Ziegler, vice president from Safran-Zodiac.
In addition, there was the participation of a representative of the Government of Mexico, through the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources.
